IUPAP Young Scientist Prize in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical PhysicsNominations are being sought for the Young Scientist Prize in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) Physics. It has been awarded by the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics through the Commission C15 (AMO Physics) for the first time in 2007 at the Freiburg meeting to Robin Santra, an Assistant Physicist in the Atomic, molecular, and Optical Group of the Chemistry division of Argonne National laboratory, United States. It has been awarded for the third time in 2009 at the Kalamazoo meeting to Johan Mauritsson, an assistant professor in atomic physics at the Faculty of Engineering, from Lund University, Sweden, for his work on Attosecond Electron Interferometry. The next call will be launched in due time for the 2011 edition of ICPEAC that will be held in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
