Low-dimensional oxides

Grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering

Contacts : Jacques Jupille, Rémi Lazzari

The team « Low Dimension Oxides » has developed expertise in the use of synchrotron radiation based techniques, in particular grazing incidence X-ray diffusion and diffraction.

Supplementary information available online :

  • An article on the technique of grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering (GISAXS)
GISAXS snapshots obtained from Ag nanoparticles deposited on MgO (001). The diffusion rod from the (111) facets when the beam is aligned in the <110> MgO direction shows that the particles are close to epitaxial pyramids with a square base.
  • A software for simulation and fitting of GISAXS data : IsGISAXS .
