Colloidal Quantum Dots (QDs) emitting in the visible are of particular interest for lighting and display applications.1 To make the use of QDs in these fields feasible, interest is shifting from well-characterized, but toxic and restricted, Cd-based QDs to Cd-free alternatives such as InP QDs. We recently proposed protocols of a cost efficient synthesis of InP QDs that exhibit excellent emission properties.2,3 Here, we demonstrate that the composition tuning of such optimized InP QDs can markedly increase the light emitting device efficiency.
