Chiral symmetry can be broken in magnetic thin films and multilayers, leading to the appearance of an anisotropic exchange interaction of the Dzyaloshinskii‐Moriya (DM) form. This interaction can result in interesting magnetic ground states, such as chiral domain walls and skyrmions. In this talk, I will describe some recent theoretical work on how the DM interaction influences dynamical processes in ultrathin films. In particular, I will discuss nonreciprocal spin wave focusing, spin wave channeling in chiral walls, and novel features in skyrmion and antiskyrmion dynamics under spin‐orbit torques.
