The electrostatic analyzer of ions

Contact : asur

In order to determine the distribution charge of the ion beam after its interaction with the matter (atoms, clusters…), we recently built an electrostatic analyzer with 127°. This ion spectrometer is composed of two metallic plates, with a high voltage applied, and two channeltrons : one in the incidental ion beam axis (controlling in particular the intensity of this beam) and another at exit of the analyzer. A voltage scanning is applied to the plates of the analyzer to discriminate and identify the various charge states.
